SHELTON, CT — PhysicianOne Urgent Care has opened a new center in Shelton, offering high-quality, friendly and professional care to city residents and surrounding towns.
According to a news release provided by PhysicianOne, the Shelton center, located at 795 Bridgeport Avenue, Suite A, is the medical care provider's 27th location and the first new center to open following the Yale New Haven Health System's acquisition of PhysicianOne Urgent Care.

"At a time when patients struggle to schedule visits with their primary care providers and specialists, PhysicianOne is committed to increasing access to fast, compassionate care for individuals and families," PhysicianOne Urgent Care CEO Lynne Rosen said in a news release. "We look forward to being part of the community in Shelton and bringing 24/7 convenient, high quality and coordinated care to the area."

As one of the only providers to offer locally staffed, 24/7 telehealth, PhysicianOne enables patients to speak with experienced medical providers anywhere, at any time, according to PhysicianOne.

The Shelton location offers illness and injury treatment, as well as in-house testing and treatment of flu, RSV and COVID-19 testing. The new center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
Patients can walk in or reserve an in-person or virtual telehealth appointment online. PhysicianOne Urgent Care in Shelton accepts most major insurances, including Husky plans, and offers affordable self-pay rates for patients without insurance, according to PhysicianOne.
