Ninety Nine Restaurants Honor Shelton Youth with Annual Boys & Girls Club Scholarship

Ninety Nine Restaurants celebrate 10th Annual Boys & Girls Club Scholarships, awarding 7 recipients across New England & New York

The Ninety Nine Restaurants, the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley, and scholarship recipient, Sabrina Maldonado, of Shelton, Connecticut.

The Ninety Nine Restaurants announced the seven winners of their 10th Annual Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Award on May 24, 2017. Maldonado, a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Lower Naugatuck Valley and Shelton High School senior, was awarded the scholarship representing the state of Connecticut. The scholarship award is given to an outstanding youth who has shown exemplary commitment to the Boys & Girls Club, as well as a strong performance in school and community involvement.

Maldonado, a Shelton resident, will receive a $1,000 scholarship to put towards her college degree. Maldonado graduated from Shelton High School in 2017 and will begin college in the fall at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell campus.

Seven $1,000 Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Awards were distributed to well-deserving high school students across New England and New York, continuing to showcase the Ninety Nine’s commitment to the communities in which their 106 restaurants serve. This year’s Annual Boys & Girls Scholarship Awards marks the 10th year Ninety Nine has awarded scholarships and the 20th year that Ninety Nine has partnered with and proudly supported the Boys & Girls Club.

“We are passionate about our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club organization and what better way to celebrate the milestone than to continue to provide Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Awards to deserving high school students” said Charlie Noyes, President of the Ninety Nine Restaurants. “These youths have made an impact not only to their local Boys & Girl Club, but also in their schools, community, as well as with friends and family. I wish them the best of luck with their future education and endeavors.”
