Obituary: Alice R. Wuchek

Alice R. Wuchek, age 73, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony John Wuchek, Sr. for 36 years. Alice was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 6, 1950, daughter of the late William and Rose Gourka Wright and was a Shelton resident since 1974. In the 1970’s, she started her career as a Paraprofessional at Ripton school. When Ripton School closed she traveled throughout the Shelton School system where she formed many close friendships. She worked for over 40 years until her retirement.

Alice loved going to tag sales and the Casino's with her friends Roxie, Tina and Nancy. She was also an avid reader.

Alice was the beloved mother of Anthony Wuchek, Jr. and Edward Wuchek and his wife Nicolle, sister-in-law of Lesia Wuchek whom she talked with every day, aunt of Julie Melissano and her two children Valentina and Isabella and Michael Wuchek and his wife Stacy and their child Shelby. She was predeceased by her in-laws John and Eleanor Wuchek, brother-in-law Michael Wuchek and uncle Jack Correia.

On Wednesday, June 14th, friends may greet the family from 3 to 7 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral services are private.
