Alina Z. Dabrowski, age 73, of Milford, entered into rest on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is the devoted wife of John Dabrowski. Alina was born in Czachy, Poland on Mary 27, 1949, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Romana (Szeligowska) Kolakowski, and lived in Milford since 1982.
She is the beloved mother of Eva Palmieri and her husband Alan and cherished grandmother of John Joseph Palmieri and Alexander Michael Palmieri. She is also survived by her sister, Teresa Kallivrousis and her husband Nick, nephew, Stanley Kallivrousis, niece, Tereska Pruszkowski and her husband Wojcieh and their son Szymon and several extended cousins and family in Poland. Alina was predeceased by two brothers, Kazimierz and Janusz Kolakowski and a sister, Lucyna Gosk.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses from the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital for their care and compassion for Alina.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street in Derby on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM. On Thursday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave., Derby for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Bridgeport.
