Anthony Troy Campanelli, Sr., age 60, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
He was born in Derby on May 5, 1962. He was the son of the late Robert Louis Campanelli and Barbara (Shepard) Campanelli. He was a graduate of Shelton High School and Eli Whitney Technical School, where he honed the craft of auto body repair that he loved and excelled at. Anthony restored classic muscle cars and was known as one of the best auto body workers in the area. He had a reserved personality, but a great sense of humor. He enjoyed annual trips to New Hampshire for NASCAR races, and also frequented Daytona and Indianapolis. Above all, the most important part of his life was his son, Anthony, Jr., who he loved unconditionally.
Anthony was the beloved father of Anthony Troy Campanelli, Jr., brother of David Campanelli and his spouse Anthony, Lorraine DeGregoria, and the late Robert Lessard. Anthony was the uncle of Anna, Julie, Tyler, Heather, Nicole, Emily and Robert. He is also survived by his ex-wife Rochelle Campanelli, mother of Anthony Jr., and Connie Campanelli, his stepmother for over 50 years who raised him as her own and also treated Anthony, Jr. as her grandson.
