Obituary: Danilo Arcanjo, 44, Of Derby
He was a dedicated North Haven Public Works employee in 2014, working in the sanitation and street and roads departments as a truck driver.

DERBY, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Danilo Arcanjo, 44, of Derby, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was the husband of Keri Maciog and the loving father of Lyssa Arcanjo. Beloved brother of Denis and Daniely Arcanjo.
Danilo was born in Sao Joao do Caiua, State of Parana, Brazil on February 28, 1979, and was the son of Daniel and Ivanilda Arneiro Arcanjo. He served in the Brazilian military as a sniper.
As a young boy, Danilo enjoyed camping with his brother in the jungles of Brazil, playing soccer, practicing Muay Thai martial arts, listening to heavy metal music, and regularly fished and hunted with his father. He also worked on farms in Brazil as a cowboy and trained horses before coming to the United States.

He became a dedicated North Haven Public Works employee in 2014, working in the sanitation and street and roads departments as a truck driver.
Later in life, he developed passions for deer hunting, movie watching (particularly Lord of the Rings), gardening, working out and Viking history and traditions. Danilo, may you rest in Valhalla.

The visiting hours will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home. A parlor service will follow the visiting hours at 3 p.m.
