Obituary: David M. Bobbie
Beloved Father, Grandfather and Friend. Former owner of the Bridgeport News.
David M. Bobbie, age 72, of Stratford entered into rest on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Bridgeport, on December 23, 1951, son of the late Stephen and Martha (Bedinger) Bobbie and was a Shelton resident for most of his life before moving to Stratford.
David was the owner and operator of Bridgeport News for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, beaches, going to the casino and watching the sunrise and sunset. David was also an avid Los Angeles sports fan.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Bridgeport Hospital ICU and Hospice departments for their compassion and care for David.
He was the beloved father of David (Lisa) Bobbie, Daniel (Kelly) Bobbie and Dennis (Charlene) Bobbie, former spouse of Rebecca Bobbie and loving grandfather of Danielle, David, Grace. Mercy, Hope, Samantha, Nicole. Chistopher, Brittney, Aimee, Billie and Connor. David was predeceased by his brother Gerald Bobbie.

On Saturday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. His burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Shelton Animal Shelter, 11 Brewster Lane, Shelton, CT 06484.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with his arrangements. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.
