Obituary: Edith Pelaggi

Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister

Edith Pelaggi, age 88, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in Derby on October 20, 1931 daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Boutillier) Lawson and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She began her career working at BF Goodrich before becoming a SPD Technician at Griffin Hospital for many years until her retirement. Edith enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, word search, reading magazines and was a wonderful cook. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. Edith was the beloved mother of Lori Hubbell and her husband Richie, David Pelaggi and his wife Rita, Edward Pelaggi and his wife Denice and the late Richard Pelaggi, sister of, Margaret Smith, Alma Kudej, Carl “Sonny” Lawson II and John Lawson. She was the loving grandmother of Michelle Gardella and her husband Jay, Lindsay Hubbell, Brandy DeFount and her husband Kyle, Heather Pelaggi, Julie Festa and her husband Chris, and David Pelaggi and his fiancee Louise and great grandmother of Brandon and Kyle. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic her services are private. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with her arrangements.
