Elsie B. Kerekes, age 96, of Shelton entered into rest on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Bishop Wicke Health Center.
She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Kerekes. Elsie was born in Bridgeport on July 2, 1926 daughter of the late John and Magdolna (Vance) Banyay. She enjoyed volunteering at the Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church.
She was survived by several nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her brother Leslie Banyay and five sisters, Martha Wiernas, Ethel Kawalawski, Edith Zudla, Margaret Stohl and Helen Stefanocki.

Friends are invited to her graveside service on Wednesday, April 19th at 11:00 AM at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield.
