
Emil A. Zullo, age 87, of Derby entered into rest on Friday, February 26, 2021 at VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven Campus.
He was the devoted husband of the late Natalina (Mecuri) Zullo. Emil was born in Hartford on June 29, 1933 son of the late Franklyn and Theresa (Giliotti) Zullo and was a Derby resident for most of her life. He worked in the engineering department of Sikorsky Aircraft for many years before his retirement. Emil proudly served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion in Derby and the Veterans of Foreign War. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Emil is the beloved father of Frank Zullo, Richard Zullo and Joseph Zullo, brother of Hugo Zullo and Rita Zullo. He is the loving grandfather of Natalina, Joseph, Samantha and Nicholas and great grandfather of two great grandchildren and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Emil was predeceased by a brother Ralph Zullo and a sister Angie Loch.

Friends are invited to his funeral service with military honors on Thursday at 11 AM at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby. Friends are required to wear masks and social distance. The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby has been entrusted with his arrangements. Friends can leave condolences at www.adzimafh.com.
