Obituary: Franklin "Bundy" Beattie, Jr.

Beloved Brother and Uncle

Franklin W. (Bundy) Beattie, Jr., age 64, of Derby entered into rest on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven. He was born in Derby on December 2, 1955 son of the late Franklin W. Beattie, Sr. and Christine (Pucci) Meneo and godfather Clifford Beattie and was a lifelong Derby resident. Bundy proudly served with the US Air Force. He was a photographer for Hamilton Sundstrand in Hartford for many years until his retirement. After leaving the Air Force Bundy obtained his pilot license and flew every opportunity he had. He was an avid fisherman and photographer. Most of all, he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and loved bringing them to Comic-Con. He was the beloved brother of Donna (Gregory) Bowers, Mark (Josephine) Beattie, Martin (Leslie) Beattie, Robin (Paul Balko) Listorti, Richard Beattie, Anthony (Susan) Meneo III, John (Betty) Beattie, Deanna (Mick) Lizzano and Lisa (John) Lee and step-son of Anthony Meneo, Jr. and Barbara Beattie. Bundy was also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 ELizabeth St., Derby.
