Obituary: Helena Grochowski, 90, Of Shelton

Helena (Kabelis) Grochowski, age 90, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jan Grochowski.

Born in Poland on May 10, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Cyprian and Katarzyna (Lozowska) Kabelis.

She is survived by daughters, Sabina Grochowski-Wyrwinski, MD and her husband Peter Wyrwinski, MD and Romana Carroll, her caring cousins, Genowefa Dalecki and Dr. D. Michael Kabelis as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Jan, she was also predeceased by five brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 310 Pulaski St., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.

Friends may greet the family on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
