
Jeno Varga, Sr., age 76 of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday August 25, 2022 at St. Vincent Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He is the devoted husband of 55 years to Emilia (Vago) Varga.
He was born in Gyor, Hungary on Dec. 18, 1945, son of the late Miklos and Iren (Voros) Varga. He was a resident of Hungary for most of his life. In 1988 he and his wife decided to leave Hungary to give their family a better life in the United States. He was a resident of Fairfield for a short time before moving to Shelton in 1990.
He was a machinist at Light Sources in Orange CT, for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Zoltan Varga and his wife Wendy of Fairfield, Emilia Rubino and her companion Scott Johnson of Stonington, daughter in law Orsi Varga of Shelton, granddaughter Alyssa Seno of Shelton and brother Louis Voros and his wife Olga of Fairfield. He was predeceased by his son, Jeno Varga, Jr of Fairfield.
Friends may greet his family on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
