Obituary: Julia Cybart

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt

Julia Cybart, age 90, of Beacon Falls, entered into rest on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Eugene Cybart. Julia was born in Worcester, Ma on May 10, 1932 daughter of the late John and Statia (Sliva) Burdzel and was a Derby resident for many years before moving to Beacon Falls. She was employed at AVCO during her younger years and often would tell the stories of working in the mail room. Julia enjoyed bingo, emailing friends and family, traveling, trips to the casino, and watching her soap opera, Days of Our Lives. Julia was a great baker and enjoyed spending time in her kitchen, making delicious memories for her family and friends. Julia was always smiling; she was always grateful for everything she had and never spoke badly of anything even during her most trying times. Most of all, she adored spending time with her family and her pets. Julia was the beloved mother of Eugene (Donna) Cybart, Jr., Barbara Cybart, Nancy (Anthony) Meliso and Douglas Cybart, loving grandmother of Eugene Peter Cybart III, Christopher Cybart and Abigail Meliso, and sister of Vikki Nault. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Julia was predeceased by a son Joseph Cybart, a daughter Maria Cybart, a brother Peter Burdzel and a sister Barbara Veilleux. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Wednesday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Michael Church. Her burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
