Obituary: Lucy Mary Nunno

Lucy Mary Nunno, age 93, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on February 29, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Nunno Sr.

She was born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1930, daughter of the late Adolf and Sophie (Danek) Jurewicz. Lucy was a graduate of St. Michael’s Polish Catholic School in Bridgeport. She moved to Shelton in 1968 and began her career with Norton’s as a technician assembler before moving on to Anton Bauer soldering battery boards and she also worked as a waitress. She was a contributor to St. Lawrence Church. Lucy loved making puzzles, crocheting, and sewing.

Lucy is survived by her son, Michael Nunno, daughter, Donna Lee, five grandchildren, Kristine Nunno, Sherry Nunno-Taft, Michael Nunno III, Frankie Lee, and Shellie Lee, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Marie Nunno, granddaughter Jennifer Lee, brother Fred Jurewicz, and sister Irene Wolf.

Friends may call on Tuesday, March 19th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the parlor. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Stratford.
