Obituary: Marguerite M. Cayer

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister

Marguerite M. Cayer, age 84, of Shelton entered into Heaven's gates on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

She was the devoted wife of Andre M. Cayer of 62 years. Marguerite was born on February 20, 1937 in Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Lydia Legere.

Marguerite and Andre were married 1959 and moved Connecticut in 1964. She worked in the cafeteria of a few local companies, Tie Communications, Perkin Elmer. But her favor job was working for St. Joseph's High school, where she would bake the cookies for the students. Marguerite would also sing in local nursing home and pray for the sick.
She was the beloved mother of Line Bachman and her husband Robert and Mario Cayer and his wife Judi, loving grandmother of Renee Judson, Kevin, Aimee and Eric Bachman, ReJean and Christine Cayer, Jessica Ferguson and Jennifer Ortiz. Marguerite was sister to Romuald Legere, Raymonde Legere-Cormier, Gillard Legere and Albertine Legere. She also had many nieces and nephews.

Marguerite was predeceased by her son Michel Cayer, daughter-in-laws Lynn and
Linda Cayer. Her brothers Mederic and Real Legere, her sisters Alphonsine Chiasson and Amabilis Legere.

On October 16th at 10:00 AM, friends are invite to her life celebration at 10:00 AM at Huntington Chapel,177 Ripton Rd, Shelton. The service will be live on U tube for those who can not attend in person.

The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd, Shelton Has been entrusted with her arrangements.
