Obituary: Michael J. Regan

Michael J. Regan, age 51, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Griffin
Hospital in Derby. Michael was born in Derby on February 27, 1969, cherished son of Kathleen Regan Malerba. Michael was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, Miami Dolphins, and the University of Notre Dame. He loved live music and attended well over 100 rock concerts. He loved to go to Mohegan Sun to visit Ballo, his favorite restaurant, and play poker. Michael also loved a good cigar at his favorite cigar bar. A Derby High School Graduate, Mike was a lifelong supporter and follower of Derby High School Football and Wrestling.
He is survived by his step-brother, Vincent Malerba and step-sister, Nicole Newkirk, two aunts, Barbara Regan and Eloise Ballard Raymond, and several Godchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also honored with a wonderful group of friends with whom he shared countless experiences.
A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
