Obituary: Paul Littlefield, 91, Of Shelton

A former longtime resident of Trumbull, Paul established a beloved small business of pet sitting and barn care.

Paul G. Littlefield passed away peacefully on December 9, 2022, surrounded by family. Paul was a long-time resident of Trumbull, Conn., and lived in Shelton, Conn., since 2017.

Born in Portsmouth, N.H., to Harold and Ruth (Stuart) Littlefield, Paul received his Master of Education from SUNY Buffalo and moved his family to Connecticut in 1965 to work with the Kennedy Center in Bridgeport and ARC in Stamford. Later retiring as a life insurance agent, Paul established his beloved small business of pet sitting and barn care. Meeting horses, dogs and donkeys brought him much joy.

Paul was an avid gardener, taking much pride in designing and caring for gardens at home and at church. Even in recent years, he could be found in the garden. Paul was dedicated to civic engagement, advocating for friends, and was a devoted servant of God.

Paul is survived by his children, C. Paul Littlefield and Joan Littlefield, his cherished grandchildren Adam and Maya, his dear nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Alberta and Virginia and his brother Walter.

Friends and family are invited to call 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, Conn. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
