Obituary: Pieternella "Pam" Krijgsman

Pieternella “Pam” Krijgsman, age 91, of Shelton entered into rest on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

She was the devoted wife of Johannes “Jon” Krijgsman. Pam was born in Surabaya, Indonesia on May 20, 1931, daughter of the late Erik and Anna (Leentvaar) Hasselbach.

She was the beloved mother of Erik J. Krijgsman, Annemarie Romano and her husband Tony and Michael Krijgsman and his wife Monika and sister of Ben Hasselbach and Erik Hasselbach. Pam was the loving grandmother of James Romano, Michael Romano, Joseph Romano, Kayla Krijgsman, Julia Krijgsman and Alex Krijgsman and was also survived by several nieces.

Pam served for several years in the Royal Dutch Navy where she met her husband. Over their 65 years of marriage, Pam moved the family through two countries and 5 different states before settling in Connecticut. In addition to her family, she enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes, and collecting owl and Betty Boop related items. She also loved creating photo albums and made one for all her children.

Her funeral services were private.

The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton has been entrusted with her arrangements.
