Richard William Shorrock, age 69, of Shelton entered into rest on January 5, 2021 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. Rick is the devoted husband and soul-mate of 39 years to Andrea Ruffalo Shorrock.
He was born in Derby on October 16, 1951 son of the late William and June Cawthra Shorrock and was a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a Master Carpenter and business owner who shared his knowledge with all in the valley even beyond his retirement. He was known and loved by many people and everyone he encountered enjoyed his company. Rick touched the lives of everyone he came across and developed many friends and relationships. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Rick was a remarkable father and blessed with four "Daddy's little girls'' Alicia and her husband Daniel Rivera, Stacey and her husband John Rossetti, Ricki Lee and her husband Jason Reis, and Ashley and her partner Joseph Martinez. He was a beloved grandfather to Alexa, Josh, Hayley, Isabella, Mila, Mikayla, and great grandfather of Henry and Lydia. He is loved and missed by his older brother George Shorrock, sister and brother-in-law Bob and Lesa Fournier and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Shorrock.
A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday January 10, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through.
