Robert P. Salzano, age 68, of Ansonia peacefully entered on Monday July 6, 2020 in the Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Brown) Salzano for 33 wonderful years. He was born in Derby on September 22, 1951 the son of the late Vincent and Frances (Fama) Salzano.
Bob grew up in Derby and graduated from Derby High School before going on to earn his Masters Degree from UCONN. He started his career in retail first in Bradlees, where he met his wife Judy, and then went on to management roles at Macy’s and Stop & Shop. He always loved family gatherings, holidays, picnics (with bacon!) and vacations to Cape Cod. He especially loved any time he got to spend with his sons and grandsons. When he was able to, he enjoyed time spent at the St. Sebastian Club with his friends. Bob was a very hardworking man and his family meant everything to him. He put everyone before himself, always had a great sense of humor and could make friends with anyone. He will be so very sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Besides his wife Judy, Bob is survived by his children John Spillane and his wife Cidalia Silva, Thomas Salzano and his wife Nicole Salzano, his grandsons Christian, Adrian and Logan Spillane, his brother Vincent Salzano and his wife Patti, his sister-in-law Geraldine Brown, his brothers-in-law David Brown and Richard Brown and his wife Darlene, his niece Jenny Salzano, his nephews Tony Salzano, Jake Brown and Greg Brown, many great nieces and nephews, and his extended loved family Steve, Janet and Kevin Lantowski. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Salzano.
