Obituary: Therese "Terri" Hoag

Therese "Terri" Hoag, née Prinzo, aged 88 of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Griffin Hospital after a short illness. She was the loving wife of the late Darryl Hoag. Terri was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 16, 1935, daughter of the late Frank and Lucy (née Ambriano) Prinzo, and lived in Shelton for over 30 years

She is the devoted mother of two loving sons, Ronald & Craig Ferrero. Terri was predeceased by her brother Louis Prinzo and sister Dorothy Sciallo, née Prinzo. She is survived by her nieces, Jo-Anne Smith, née Sciallo, and Dorothy Sciallo and nephew Stephen Sciallo; grandnephews Marc & Kevin Smith; great-grandnephews Samuel, Cameron, & Brennan; and great-grandniece Gwenyth.

Terri was multi-talented woman and created many memorable oil paintings. She was an entrepreneur creating and overseeing several small businesses in the Shelton area. She traveled extensively with her husband Darryl. Terri enjoyed many hobbies including home decorating, gardening, and gourmet cooking focusing on Italian cuisine. She also cherished her time with her many pet dogs throughout the decades.

Friends are invited to her funeral service at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday, May 23, at 12 Noon. Burial will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton. Condolences can be left for the family at www.riverviewfh.com.
