Pair Charged After Burglary From Shelton Home During Construction

Two people are facing charges in connection with a burglary at a Shelton home that occurred while there was ongoing construction at the residence, police said.

Police conducted an investigation into the incident after the homeowner reported the burglary in September. The homeowners reported there was no forced entry to their home and they were missing electronics.

According to police, the homeowners suspected a worker doing construction at the home responsible for the missing items.

A week after the burglary was reported, the homeowners’ bank informed them that their personal check was deposited in a bank in Norwalk. The information led police to an employee of the contractor doing the construction, Marc Baillargeon, 29, of Milford and his friend Kacie Morgan, 25, of Stratford.

Police said Morgan used a third party to deposit the check into their account.

Morgan was arrested on Dec. 17 and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, third-degree larceny and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. Baillargeon was arrested Dec. 19 and is facing the same charges as Morgan.
