Parking An Issue In Shelton Apartment Complex Plan: Report
The developer says that there is plenty of parking in the downtown area to handle the proposed project.
SHELTON, CT — A plan to build a four-story, 30-unit apartment building in downtown Shelton is meeting resistance from some residents due to parking, reported the Connecticut Post.
Developer John Guedes is looking to construct the building on land between Canal Street East and Canal Street West, and he says that there is adequate parking in the area, but people don't know about it and don't use it.
His project, which would be built at the former Chromium Process site, would be four stories tall and would hold 30 apartments and 34 parking spaces. Opponents, however, say that downtown parking already is too tight, and this project would only make the situation worse.
