What is your occupation?
Retired School/District Admin.
Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.
Two grown children - graduates of Shelton High, grandmother of two.
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
BOE - if elected this November, it would be my second term.
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
Believe there should be educators on BOE who understand policies, programs of instruction and financial responsibilities of board members

The responsibility of city government to provide safety and security of citizens as well as support a free public education.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My fellow democrats support the educational process and understand the fiscal responsibility necessary to promote education.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
Education must be supported.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Vote “NO” for carter revision.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
42 year teaching/administrative BOE employee.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Listen to all sides, formulate your own opinion, do what is right.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
Will always work for the betterment of the students of the Shelton Public School System.
