Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.
Mom of 16 year-old daughter.
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
No.
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
So that I can help provide the best possible education for Shelton students.

Rising healthcare costs. I will work to ensure our budget is allocated efficiently and that healthcare and special needs are accommodated satisfactorily and cost effectively.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My experience is vast and diversified. I am very engaged on a communal and personal level. I purchased a home in Shelton in 1998 to start a family. My daughter has been in Shelton Public Schools from kindergarten to high school and I have learned and experienced a great deal throughout these years.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Allocating funds properly and wisely.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have been very involved with issues concerning children, parents and families; have studied abroad and have had the opportunity to work with think tanks in DC.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence win championships.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am a strong, passionate, objective and sincere team player.
