PD: Former Shelton High Teacher Kissed Student

The teacher was arrested after he turned himself in, police said.

A former Shelton High teacher was arrested after he allegedly went out to dinner with a 17-year-old student and attempted to kiss her on the lips.

Police began investigating the complaint in April, said Detective Richard Bango, police spokesman.

A 17-year-old female said she went out to dinner with George Perduta, 57, of Kensington when he was a teacher and she was a student. He allegedly asked about her relationship status during dinner and made the teen uncomfortable.
