Person Rescued From Vehicle After Rollover Crash In Shelton: FD

Fire officials said the person was taken to a local trauma facility for evaluation.

SHELTON, CT — Firefighters rescued a person trapped in a vehicle following a rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in Shelton, according to the Shelton Fire Department.

In a news release, fire officials said crews were called to the 700 block of Bridgeport Avenue around 2 p.m. after receiving a report of a crash with a rolled over vehicle involved.

As crews responded, they received an update confirming one person was trapped in the rolled over vehicle, according to fire officials.

When crews arrived in the area, they created a plan to free the sole occupant inside the vehicle, which came to rest on its passenger side, according to fire officials.

Firefighters were able to stabilize the vehicle and removed the roof to gain access to the person inside, fire officials said.

Once the person was removed, Echo Hose Ambulance staff began patient care and took them to a local trauma facility for evaluation, according to fire officials.
