Police Arrest Alleged Prostitute at Shelton Hotel
After responding to complaints of an online advertisement, Shelton detectives made an arrest.

Shelton Police arrested a Roxbury woman on prostitution and drug charges on March 19.
According to police, the arrest stems from complaints of online prostitution occurring in hotels. With assistance from the State Police, detectives began an investigation and responded to an online advertisement following which a meeting was set up with Tamra Emmons, 40 at a Shelton hotel located on Bridgeport Avenue.
At the hotel Emmons and an undercover officer agreed upon a fee in exchange for a sexual act, police said. Emmons was subsequently placed under arrest.

Police also located crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the room.
Emmons was charged with prostitution, illegal possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Derby Court on April 2.
