Police Seek Suspect in Shelton Commuter Lot Larceny

A victim's wallet was taken and a debit card was used.

State Police are investigating a larceny that occurred in the exit 13 commuter lot adjacent to Route 8 in Shelton.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 2 to investigate a larceny report from a CT Department of Transportation vehicle. The complainant said his wallet was taken from his lunch cooler.

The wallet was found in the lot, but was missing a debit card and $10 cash.

Troopers learned the card was used at a gas station on Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton and subsequently obtained surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle.

The suspect was last sen leaving the station in an older model grey or tan Oldsmobile traveling southbound on Bridgeport Avenue. The upper half of the vehicle’s front passenger side door is painted black and there is damage to the front right fender.
