Poll Workers Sought For 2022 Primary, General Elections In Derby

The city of Derby is seeking poll workers for the Aug. 9 Democratic and Republican primaries, as well as the Nov. 8 general election.

DERBY, CT — The city of Derby is seeking poll workers for the Aug. 9 Democratic and Republican primaries, as well as the Nov. 8 general election.

In a Facebook post, Democratic Registrar of Voters Louise Pitney, Republican Registrar of Voters Michael Shea and Town Clerk Marc Garofalo said the poll workers' service would be needed on the day of the primaries or election beginning at 5:15 a.m. and ending at approximately 9 p.m.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided at no cost to you. Poll workers will be required to attend a mandatory training session prior to the primary and election.

Poll workers will be paid for their services depending on the position they fill. They may choose to work at either the primary, general election or both.

Anyone interested in participating as a poll worker is asked to contact Garofalo, Pitney and Shea.
