Popular CT Pizzeria Set To Close, Owners Tease 'Something New Will Be Coming'

The owners announced on social media the popular pizzeria and bar is set to close soon but teased "something new will be coming."

SEYMOUR, CT — A popular Seymour pizzeria and bar is set to close this weekend, however the owners have also teased "something new will be coming."

In a Facebook post Monday, the "Cast Iron Chef Pizza & Bar family" announced the restaurant's final day open at 15 Klarides Village Drive will be Saturday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The post also noted the pizzeria and bar's last bingo night was Wednesday and its last acoustic night is scheduled for Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The restaurant's last line dancing night is scheduled to take place Saturday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., according to the post.

"To our amazing customers, friends, musicians, dancers, bingo players and community members," a graphic included in the post reads. "Thank you for all of the love, laughter, support and memories you've shared with us throughout the years. We are incredibly grateful for every meal enjoyed, every toast raised, every song sung and every friendship made at Cast Iron Chef Pizza & Bar."

The post also teased that "something new will be coming..." and encouraged customers to "stay tuned for our next venture."

A request for comment from the restaurant was not immediately returned Thursday.

In addition to thin and crispy cast iron pizza pies, the restaurant's menu also features a wide variety of salads, appetizers such as wings and fried mozzarella, handhelds and entrees such as chicken parmesan and penne alla vodka, as well as desserts.

In addition to Seymour, the restaurant also operates a location in New Haven called Cast Iron Chef Chop House & Oyster Bar.

"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey," the post reads. "We hope you'll stop by one last time to celebrate the memories we've made together."
