Popular Hot Dog Restaurant Plans To Open Shelton Location

A Milford eatery is planning to open a second location in Shelton this year, according to a report.

SHELTON, CT — Popular Milford eatery Dogtown will expand with a second location in Shelton, according to The Connecticut Post. Bobby Manere said the restaurant, which has been a Milford fixture since 2017, will have its second location at Crown Point Center off Bridgeport Avenue.

The Shelton restaurant is anticipated to open in early fall.

The Milford location is at 664 New Haven Ave. The eatery offers the "best dang hot dogs this side of the Mason-Dixon, top notch burgers, tasty sandwiches, specialty tots, shakes & more!!"

Dogtown started out in a 10-foot Chevy fan painted black with side pipes.

"The idea was to make a food truck that actually did what other food trucks have forgotten to do; give you something that you can grab and devour while on the go," Dogtown's website says. "What makes Dogtown special is the attention to detail, home made ingredients, and our love and dedication to our food – and our respect to what makes both California and Connecticut style Road food so special!"

Hot dogs come with a wide range of toppings including chili, bacon, jalapenos, and more. Dogtown also offers burgers, crispy chicken, and sides like tater tots, onion rings, and coleslaw.
