SHELTON, CT — Dave's Gourmet Paletas, which serves Mexican ice pops and frozen desserts, is scheduled to open a new shop in Shelton in March, in the River Road spot that formerly housed Rita's ice cream, the owners announced on Facebook (see below).

The new Shelton shop will be Dave's second Fairfield County location, joining a popular Fairfield store — which opened in the spring of 2021 — on the Post Road in that community.

Plans call for the Shelton shop, which is larger than the Fairfield location, to act as a kitchen to produce paletas for other future Dave's shops, reported the New Haven Register.
