Popular Shelton Day 2026 Event Returns This Fall

The free event will feature a full day of live music, food, shopping, family fun and community spirit in Shelton.

SHELTON, CT — The Derby-Shelton Rotary Club announced this week Shelton Day 2026 will take place Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.

According to a news release provided by the rotary club, the annual event is a cherished community tradition dating back to 1984 that brings together residents, families, local businesses, organizations, vendors and visitors for a full day of entertainment, food, shopping and community spirit.

Admission and parking for the event are free, according to the release.

The following Shelton Day 2026 highlights were provided by the rotary club:

  • Live Music: Enjoy performances by Eight to the Bar and the Lee-Ann Lovelace Band.
  • Kids' Zone: Family-friendly activities and entertainment designed especially for children.
  • Local Vendors & Shopping: Browse a wide variety of craft vendors, local businesses and unique products.
  • Community Organizations & Resources: Meet local nonprofit organizations and learn about programs and services available throughout our community.
  • Food Trucks & Food Vendors: Enjoy a variety of delicious food, snacks and refreshments throughout the day.
  • Restaurant Raffle: New this year! Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win gift cards and prizes from area restaurants. The final drawing will take place at Shelton Day.
  • Mayor Mark Lauretti: Mayor Lauretti will join us to present the official Shelton Day Proclamation.

According to the release, Shelton Day is not just a day of fun, but also one of the ways the rotary club raises funds to support local communities throughout the year.

Proceeds from Shelton Day help support rotary programs and projects benefiting Derby, Shelton and the surrounding area, including scholarships for Derby and Shelton high school seniors, Coats for Kids, Salt & Sand for Seniors, dictionaries for third-grade students, grants to local nonprofit organizations, youth programs and many other community service projects, according to the release.

"When you attend Shelton Day, support a vendor, become a sponsor or participate in one of our fundraisers, you are helping the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club continue its mission of 'service above self' and give back to the community we proudly serve," the release reads.

The park is located at 97 Canal Street in Shelton.
