Resident Injured In Shelton House Fire: FD

Fire officials said the blaze was contained to a bedroom thanks to the quick-thinking residents, who closed the bedroom door.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton resident was injured in a house fire that broke out early Tuesday morning on Rolling Brook Lane, according to fire officials.

In a news release, fire officials said crews were called to the house around 1:30 a.m., however no smoke or fire could be seen from the front of the house. Smoke was later found coming from the back of the house in what appeared to be a bedroom.

As firefighters made their way inside the home, they found the fire behind a closed bedroom door, officials said. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and opened the windows to minimize damage.
