Ronald Vincent Sullo, age 66 of Seymour, died peacefully on January 10, 2025 at Griffin Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Mount Vernon, NY on August 22, 1958, he was the son of the late Arthur F. and Kathryn E. (Webster) Sullo. Mr. Sullo was raised in Mt Vernon, NY, was a 1976 graduate of Salesian High School of New Rochelle and was a 1980 graduate of Syracuse University earning a bachelor’s degree in history and communications. He was the owner and operator of the former Video Zone store of Stratford, as well as owning and operating a video and collectables store in Milford. He was a beyond-loyal Yankee fan, having met many players, even Mrs. Babe Ruth! He was a voracious reader and enjoyed the scripted and boisterous entertainment of professional wrestling- he even owned a WWF Championship Belt! He will be long remembered for his love and devotion for his family, as his true joy was in sharing holidays and other beautiful moments with them. Mr. Sullo is survived by his devoted siblings, Laurence C. Sullo and his wife, Ann of Seymour and Alissa Scrivines and her husband, Dan of Ansonia; his aunt and uncle, Camille and Fred Ficaro of Yonkers, NY; cherished niece and nephews, Holly Sullo and her husband, Jesse Youngblood of Boston, MA, Craig Sullo of Hamden and Derek Scrivines of Ansonia; as well as a cherished great-niece, June Youngblood of Boston, MA- who was just born on Ron’s birthday in 2024, his most treasured birthday gift ever! Ron is also survived by additional aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
