Scinto Proposes Retail Development In Shelton

The proposal would see several blighted buildings demolished for more than 26,000 square feet of retail space.

SHELTON, CT — Developer Bob Scinto has proposed a 26,200 square foot shopping center on three acres of land on Bridgeport Avenue.

The proposal calls for the demolition of five vacant and blighted buildings that are between exits 11 and 12 on Route 8, according to the Connecticut Post.

Save Our Shelton leader Greg Tetro said the group questions whether more retail space is necessary as many stores are scaling back operations or closing entirely.
