Self-Driving Car Bill Passed in Connecticut
The bill paves the way for testing autonomous vehicles.

The state legislature passed a bill that paves the way for testing of self-driving cars in Connecticut.
“This legislation will help put Connecticut at the forefront of this innovative, burgeoning industry,” Governor Dannel Malloy said. “Autonomous vehicles are already being tested in several states throughout the country, and we cannot allow our state to be outpaced as this technology grows."
The legislation was overwhelmingly approved by a bipartisan vote. It will allow a pilot program in two municipalities to test self-driving vehicles.
