SEYMOUR, CT — Chinese food restaurant Sushi and Wok owners said that their establishment has been the target of racist phone calls recently.

"We got multiple calls today from callers who blame the pandemic on us, swearing and threatening to come in with arms and shoot the place down," the restaurant owners said on Facebook Friday. "We have reached out to local police enforcement concerning these calls, and hope that they will come to a full stop."

There were six calls within 10 minutes on Friday, according to the Valley Independent Sentinel. The callers threatened to shoot the restaurant owners and blamed them for spreading the coronavirus.
