Seymour Teen Shot, Killed While Attending Graduation Party In NY
Police said the victim was an innocent bystander and they are asking the public for help in solving this "senseless murder."
BRONX, NY — A Seymour teenager was shot and killed while attending a graduation party in New York City, police and NBC Connecticut said. The teen was identified as Tyanna Johnson, 19.
The two suspects are at large. At 11 p.m. Friday, two men exited a silver BMW and opened fire at a high school graduation party in Bronx Park, police said.
"This should have been a joyous occasion, but instead it turned into a nightmare," NYC Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said. "The suspects struck four people, killing an innocent 19-year-old female who we believe was caught in the gunfire and not the intended target. She was struck five times, including one time in the head.
