Shelton 2015 Election: Candidates, Polling Places, Sample Ballot
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and we share with you some of the information you'll need to know.

The municipal election in Shelton is Tuesday, Nov. 3 and Shelton residents have some important decisions to make.
On the ballot for Mayor, Incumbent Republican Mayor Mark. A Lauretti faces off against local business owner and Democrat Michele Bialek.

For City Treasurer, voters will choose between Democrat Paul Papadimitriou and Republican Raymond O’Leary. Among candidates for the Board of Apportionment and Taxation, voters must vote for any six candidates among Democrats Joseph J. Knapik, Louis J. Dagostine III and Adam Heller. The Republican candidates are John Belden Jr., Karen Battistelli and Cris Balamaci.

For Shelton’s First Ward, the candidates for the Board of Aldermen are:
Democrats: John “Jack” Finn and Denese A. Deeds

Republicans: David Gidwani and Raymond O’ Leary
For Shelton’s Second Ward, the candidates for the Board of Aldermen are:
Democrat: Linda Robak
Republicans: Eric J McPherson and Stanley J Kudej
For Shelton’s Third Ward, the candidates for the Board of Aldermen are:
Democrat: Steven G. Guralmick
Republicans: Lynne S Farell and John F Anglace Jr.
For Shelton’s Fourth Ward, the candidates for the Board of Aldermen are:
Democrat: Joseph Liscinsky Jr.
Republicans: Jim Capra and Noreen McGorty
Voters will vote for any two candidates for the Board of Aldermen in each ward.
Democratic candidates for the Board of Education are Kate Kulash, David M. Gioiello Jr., Adam K Robinson, Arlene Liscinsky and Faith B. Hack. Republican candidates are Mark Holden, Win Oppel, Dr. Darlisa P. Ritter, Thomas Minotti, Kathy Yolish, Anne Gaydos, John A. Boyka and John. J Francino-Quinn. Voters will vote for any nine candidates.
For the Planning and Zoning Commission, Democrats Nancy Dickal and Elaine Matta are running for four year terms as are Republicans Thomas P. McGortly and Virginia Harger. Voters will vote for any three candidates. For a two year term, voters must choose two candidates among Democrat Frank M Osak and Republican Ned Miller. Finally, voters will vote for any two candidates for Library Director between Democrats Patricia W. Walker, Jean A. Cayer and Republican Stephen Bellis.
Polls are open throughout Connecticut from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
