Shelton Alderman Candidate Starts Paying Tax Arrearage: Report
Chris Jones, endorsed by Envision Shelton, is running in Ward 3.

SHELTON, CT — A candidate for Ward 3 in Shelton's Alderman race next month has begun paying the city more than $11,000 in back taxes he owes from his former bar that closed in 2017, reported the New Haven Register.
Chris Jones, listed as a Republican on the Envision Shelton website, made his first $500 payment to the city this week.
The delay in paying the back taxes was partially due to disagreements about past bills between him and his partners in the shuttered Bricks and Barley Tavern.
