Shelton to Appoint Police Chief
The appointment is scheduled to become official on July 1.

SHELTON, CT — Acting Police Chief Shawn Sequeira is set to become the next permanent chief of the department.
Sequeira is scheduled to obtain the permanent position on July 1. He is a 37-year-old retired state police detective, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Shelton Board of Aldermen postponed voting on Sequiera's contract on May 25 after only two days betwen a public hearing and the scheduled vote, according to the Shelton Herald.

Sequiera's contract would run five years.
