Shelton BOE Approves Increased Schools Budget

The additional money will go to help reduce class sizes.

SHELTON, CT — The Board of Education approved a nearly four percent increase to the school budget in an effort to get the school system within the top 25 percent of districts statewide.

The extra money will help reduce class sizes, according to the Connecticut Post.

Additional funds will be used to add 6.8 teacher positions and restore several positions cut over the past two years.
