Shelton City To Sue BOE
It looks like the city and Board of Education are heading to court again.
SHELTON, CT — It looks like the City of Shelton and the Shelton Board of Education are heading back to court again, this time over an audit of the Board of Education budget.
The Board of Aldermen voted to take legal action against the board, according to the Shelton Herald.
An external audit found that there was more than a $3.1 million loss in special revenue accounts, the biggest of which came from a state program used to subsidize special education. School Superintendent Dr. Chris Clouet said that there were errors in the audit report and the Board of Education filed an ethics complaint against the firm that performed it.
