Shelton Considers Clean Energy Initiative for Schools

SHELTON, CT - Local school officials are considering a proposal to launch a clean fuel initiative in Shelton schools, which could save the district tens of thousands of dollars in energy costs.
The Shelton Herald reports that the district is contemplating placing a fuel cell, which measures about eight feet long, behind the high school.
The renewable energy source is an electrochemical device, according to the Herald, that produces electricity, water and heat through hydrogen fuel and oxygen.
