Shelton Democrats, Anti-Defamation League Host Community Meeting
The meeting, the first in a series, is scheduled for March 20.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Democrats and the Anti-Defamation League next week will host "Building a Community of Respect: Why Words Still Matter," the first in a series of forums to discuss various matters that affect the community.
Scheduled for Monday, March 20, at Shelton's Plumb Memorial Library, the first meeting will address "the rise of hate speech, intolerance, and the role of community organizations and citizens in standing together against hate."
Monday's forum will feature Steve Ginsburg, director of the Anti-Defamation League; action Shelton Police Chief Shawn Sequiera; Shelton Schools Superintendent Dr. Christopher Clouet; and Huntington Congregational Church, United Church of Christ Pastor Rev. Lucille L. Fritz.

The free event, which is open to the public, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
