Shelton, Derby High Graduations To Be Held In Ansonia

SHELTON, CT — Shelton and Derby high schools announced that graduations will take place at Ansonia's Nolan Field.

"We know this is a big change. We understand there is some disappointment, but we are committed to having a well-run, memorable high school graduation ceremony for our hardworking students," said Shelton Superintendent Chris Clouet.

Renovations at Finn Stadium are scheduled to begin in May and won't be done until September, Clouet said. The date will be announced at the Board of Education April meeting.

"Nothing is ideal about the situation, but this is a better option than doing it indoors," Clouet said.

Renovations at Derby High will take a year to finish, according to the Connecticut Post.
