Shelton Development Likely Needs Changes Before Approval

The development calls for 11 buildings on 19 acres of land.

SHELTON, CT — The developer of the former United Illuminating site will likely have to make some project changes in order to get approval.

The developer of the Bridgeport Avenue project would have to get rid of two smaller buildings and add a small public park, according to the Shelton Herald. The item was discussed at a Feb. 13 Planning and Zoning meeting.

The proposal calls for 11 buildings on a little over 19 acres of land, including a 123-room hotel, restaurants, a bank and other businesses.
